This hike is a short (2 km) trail that follows switch backs, at a sustained steepness, up to the plateau of Parker Ridge. The trail levels off into a wide open alpine meadow full of wild flowers and exquisite views of the Saskatchewan Glacier. The hiking along the broad ridge is very friendly and you can easily extend the hike gaining elevation along the ridge. Amazing opportunities for beautiful landscape photographs.
Location:
The trailhead is located 8.5 km South of the Icefields Discovery Centre (towards Lake Louise). There are outhouses and a trail map in a large pullout that can accommodate plenty of vehicles.
